The East Village is one of downtown’s largest, fastest changing, and most diverse neighborhoods. This area will develop as a residential district complemented by Neighborhood Centers, employment areas, flexible use zones, and public spaces. A variety of activities, ranging from academic endeavors at City College, to entertainment at Petco Park, and arts at the anticipated new main Library, will ensure the area maintains the eclectic character that makes it unique.
